The inspiration for the Toronto Music Garden sprang from the imagination of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The garden is designed in six movements, reflecting Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major for Unaccompanied Cello.
Each section of the garden reflects a translation of the music into garden spaces. Entro collaborated with architectural blacksmith Tom Tollefson to create a series of signs and landscaped elements that tell the story of the music and garden.
