Entro designed wayfinding and placemaking programs for the RBC Centre, recently voted one of Toronto’s 10 most important new structures of the last decade by the Toronto Star, and RBC Waterpark Place on Queen's Quay, a sleek modern 31-storey highrise featuring open concept offices, flexible workplaces and a conference centre.
As office spaces continue to evolve to accommodate new age groups, technologies and workstyles, RBC was looking to create a positive use experience that supports modern priorities within the context of a branded environment.
The interior building graphics bring the space to life, ensure an inviting atmosphere, and create visual interest. Abstract graphics based on geometric shapes were developed for each floor, bridging the gap between art and design and the comprehensive graphic program was carried through wall graphics, room dividers, privacy films, electronic interactive directories, and elevator lobby identification for more than seven office floors.
The RBC Centre has been voted one of Toronto’s most important structures of the last decade and has brought new life to Canada’s most important financial district.
Pleased by the results, RBC asked Entro to develop a wayfinding style guide for future buildings and to develop individual graphics programs for more of its existing office towers.
