SECOND AVENUE SUBWAY

First conceived almost a century ago, this eternally-anticipated extension has finally opened. January 2017 saw the first phase complete, with the expansion of the 63rd and the opening of the 72nd, 86th, and 96th Street stations. Stunning architecture and impressive works of public art give each of the stations a bold and idiosyncratic character.

We worked alongside the MTA and the design team over a 10-year period, creating a cohesive signage system for distinctly different stations. Visitors will discover our fully integrated signage and wayfinding program, which also extends and reinforces MTA’s branded subway graphics system.
